The 100 season 7 episode 2: The Garden REVIEW!

In this episode of The 100 we got a lot of answers and also more questions, no surprise there! But I am happy that we got a large part of the story somewhat answered. We are given the backstory on Octavia, Diyoza, and Diyoza's daughter Hope on their time spent in the anomaly. Octavia helps Diyoza to raise Hope. Together they are a family growing food, teaching Hope, and spending time with one another. One day this all changes when Diyoza and Octavia are taken by strange people in suits. It was the same suits from the previous episode. Not sure if it was the exact same people though since we didn't see who they are yet. Octavia helps Hope to hide before these people come for her and Diyoza though. Before this, Octavia was trying to get back through the anomaly. But Diyoza and Hope didn't want Octavia to go and Diyoza even foiled Octavia's plan to leave. This reminded me of when Clarke was left by herself for 6 years and she found Madi and raised her. This show has a lot of reflection moments, but each one is different which makes those moments more powerful to me and for these characters. I loved that this gave Octavia time to reflect also on who truly was. She could see what she really became and how she could overcome this with Diyoza and Hope by her side. It was a beautiful moment and I hope that Octavia and Bellamy can be brought together again to say what they need to. I have a feeling one of them will die this season just from what the director has been saying about the Blake siblings conclusion. I'm thinking Octavia because Bellamy has always been the one to protect and be responsible for her. This time, Octavia can save Bellamy and maybe even more than that and have an epic redemption!

In present time, Echo, Hope, and Gabriel all got through the anomaly together successfully. Echo wants to rescue Bellamy. Hope wants to find her mother Diyoza. Gabriel is still learning about the anomaly along the way which thrills him. We even see Becca in a mind drive that Gabriel kept! That was a big surprise to me! I know we saw Roan make an appearance in the last episode, but only as a hallucination in Echo's mind. So, it leaves me wondering if we'll be seeing other character's make some type of comeback this season. Even though Hope and Echo have differences that are obvious they do have one thing in common. They want to save the person they love the most. Through this common ground they have a bonding moment. Honestly, I thought it was a little awkward because Echo isn't a very emotional character. But I could see that she was in her own way trying to be comforting at least. It's obvious that Hope had to grow up fast with all the events that took place in this episode. But she needed a moment to let out all the emotions that she has been bottling up. I'm excited to learn more about her and what has happened to Bellamy, Octavia, and Diyoza. Through Gabriel we are learning more about the anomaly. It is kind of tricky so you really have to listen to keep up. But I am still interested in what else the anomaly withholds. 
We did not see anything about Sanctum in this one. It solely focused on the events of the anomaly. But I am fine with that because this episode gave us a lot of what we were seeking. I'm sure we'll have to wait another episode or two though to get more answers. Next episode will probably focus back on Sanctum, but I hope they make room for more of the anomaly too! 

The 100: Episode 1 Review!

The final season of The 100 has aired it's first episode and it was very intense! The show picked up right where we left off. Octavia has gone into the anomaly and there's speculation to whether or not she is dead. I've seen the trailer and I think it's safe to say that she's not dead. At least not yet, but of course that can change. Everything is fair game this season, no one is safe. The first episode just jumps right in with something we can not see attacking and kidnapping Bellamy. It's really mind-blowing because we have never seen anything like this happen in The 100. Also, this show does not deal with the supernatural so if it's not ghosts then what the hell is dragging Bellamy away? 

Echo and Gabriel try their best to rescue Bellamy, but they just keep getting knocked back by whatever this invisible force is. Hope who is Diyoza's daughter came through the anomaly and is now running away. That just looks bad so of course Echo and Gabriel are going to chase her down for answers. 
Back in the other part of Sanctum the rest of the crew is relaxing in a farm house after a restless battle with the Primes. Clarke is hoping Madi can finally be a kid and perhaps they can all live peacefully together.This scene is actually unsettling to me because the house looks very out of place. But I feel like that's what the director wanted us to feel perhaps. The peace doesn't last long of course, Clarke and some of the crew head back to the castle of Sanctum where chaos is taking place. Clarke is making it clear to everyone that she has no intention of killing Russell even though he killed her mother. Instead, Clarke has decided to keep Russell a prisoner until she figures out what she really wants to do. Many people want Russell dead and the people who follow him want him released. 

Clarke has been holding back a lot of her emotions during this episode. She is trying to carry on and be the leader as she always has been. But Clarke and Russell are both two leaders that are broken and on the verge of a breakdown. Russell has lost his wife and daughter and Clarke has lost her mother. They both have no one and they can only blame each other for the cause. In Clarke's defense, Russell tried to kill Clarke and her mother first. He succeeded in taking away Clarke's mother to only lose his wife in the process. After Russell taunts Clarke she finally decides what to do with Russell. But there's something dark lurking in Russell so right now I hope she carries out what she sets to do. If not, there's going to be even bigger trouble for Sanctum. 

Echo and Gabriel catch up to Hope only to discover that Hope doesn't remember anything. Octavia didn't remember what happened either when she came back through the anomaly. You can only remember when you're in or when the anomaly is on top of you. Hope shows them a note that says Trust Bellamy. The trio go off to do just that. In order to do this though they know they have to enter the anomaly where Bellamy had been taken. There is a high chance that once you go in, you will not come back out. 
This first episode really kicked the events into high gear and even though we got some answers, we're left with new questions and of course some still unanswered. I have a feeling this season is going to be one of those go big or go home moments and this one is going big! The viewers are going to be craving for the new episodes like never before. It's going to leave us on the edge of our seats. There's going to be more WTF moments and I'm ready for it. 
I give this episode a 9/10. One point docked because of the weird house. It may have been meant to feel out of place, but it just wasn't a good fit. Plus, it's the only one we've seen like it in Sanctum so it's really out of place. Other than that, I loved this episode and I want more right now! 

Should The Ship Bellarke FINALLY happen?

Hey everyone, I know I've been gone awhile, but hopefully I'm back and going to be running this blog regularly. I think I felt a bit stuck, but I found some topics I'd like to discuss! Now, this one is a TV show, but it is loosely based off the series The 100 by Kass Morgan. So, it still sticks with my main theme and I'd like to talk about this particular topic on a lot of our minds. 
The seventh and final season of The 100 is airing Weds. May 20th! The show is finally coming to a close and we all know that means anything can happen. I'm expecting a lot of surprises, a few new characters, and heartbreaking deaths. But one thing I'm hoping for that many of us fans have our hearts set on is that Clarke and Bellamy will finally get together and have their happy ending! Yes, that probably sucks for Echo. But just from watching the trailer I feel like there will be some type of conflict between her and Bellamy where their romance will end. Nothing has happened between them in the trailer, but just some of her words and actions have made me feel like this. 
This would give Clarke and Bellamy of course an open opportunity to start an actual romantic relationship. I know the Clexa fans are hoping it does not happen because this pairing would definitely override the Clarke and Lexa relationship. But Lexa is dead and has been for awhile. In this show, no one comes back to life! So we need to let that ship finally sink and let Clarke be happy. It doesn't mean Clarke doesn't love Lexa. Plus, I don't think their relationship was a good one. Not at all! This is coming from someone who is a supporter of the LGBT community. Honestly, think about it. Lexa betrayed Clarke at Mt. Weather and had her exboyfriend (that Clarke still loved) killed. Of course Lexa had good reason since Finn killed many of Lexa's people. I don't care that she killed Finn. But she broke Clarke's heart twice. Then when she needed Clarke the most, she had her kidnapped just so she could talk to her about joining forces again. Also, their romance lasted one night and then Lexa got shot. It wasn't long, it wasn't healthy, and it's over. 

Clarke and Bellamy went from practically hating each other to being best friends! These two have such a strong relationship that has been continuously building in the show. Clarke and Bellamy have taken it upon themselves to be the leaders for their people. In doing this, it makes them look like the mother and father of the group. These two have done questionable things separate and together. They know each other's worst and best parts. They constantly give each other forgiveness when they feel like no one will. Clarke had taken the killing in Mt. Weather on her shoulders even though Bellamy had pulled the lever with her. She did this so Bellamy wouldn't have to shoulder the burden after everything he had already been through. Bellamy refused to be on the list on the bunker members unless Clarke was on it. He even wrote Clarke's name for her. They did not want to lose each other. Even though they still have disagreements, they manage to work it out and compromise together. Clarke and Bellamy are the head and the heart to each other and that's how they work out problems together. Whenever they see each other they hug and it's not one armed or quick. These hugs are long, emotional, tight, fierce, and comforting. They have expressed multiple times that they don't want to and can not lose one another. They also have proven this. Especially, in the last season when Clarke's heart had stopped beating, Bellamy made her heart beat again and brought Clarke back to life. They have the strongest relationship out of everyone on the show. Octavia and Bellamy aren't even as strong, Octavia hated Bellamy and Bellamy hated Octavia at different times during the show. Yes, they forgave each other after a long time of waiting. But Bellamy and Clarke never hated each other after the first season. Their relationship just continued to grow. Even when Clarke nearly got Octavia killed twice, Bellamy found it in his heart to forgive her. I think that's because he believed Clarke had good intentions and she did realize her mistakes and owned up to them. I feel like these two would choose each other over almost anyone else. There was a time I felt like Bellamy would choose Octavia over Clarke, but not anymore. Clarke would only choose Maddie over Bellamy which is understandable because that's basically her child. Other than that, these two have each other's backs. They fiercely defend and protect one another no matter what it takes. When Bellamy found out Clarke was alive after thinking she was dead for six years I thought he was going to burst into tears of joy. Of course he was shocked and didn't have time to really process the fact that Clarke was still around. Bellamy went to go rescue her and was willing to risk hundreds of lives just to save hers. Clarke did the same thing for Bellamy when she had him brought to the bunker. These two are obviously in love and they need to have their epic conclusion of a romance. Even if it's one of them just finally confessing their love before the other one dies. Let it happen! 

My Top 10 Favorite Disney Songs

Hey everyone! Today I'd thought I do a fun yet challenging blog post on my top 10 favorite Disney songs. Now this was definitely not easy. There are so many Disney songs and not only that, but about 70% of them are fantastic! It was easy to eliminate some such as Snow White and Mary Poppins because I personally can't stand their voices or the songs. We also have live action Disney films that released new songs that are pretty damn impressive as well! There's also different versions of songs such as "A Whole New World" or "Beauty and the Beast". Now if those songs are on the list I did put some of the versions in the same number. I don't think it's fair to have the same song especially in a top 10 category. That just makes the decision that much harder. Because this was so hard I'm doing a top 10 and then 5 honorable mentions. Again, this is my favorite songs, not the best ones. I would love to know your favorites so if you'd like please leave a comment!

1. "Speechless" Princess Jasmine (Aladdin Live Action)

This is my favorite song ever! Jasmine is my favorite princess and when I heard that she would be having her own song I was very excited. Also, I was nervous because it could've been a flop. The song was very empowering and gave this princess a whole new voice. In the animated Aladdin, she's not the main character. In this live action she shared screen time with our hero. And of course she got her very own song that was very fitting for this fiercely independent princess. 

2. "A Whole New World" Aladdin and Jasmine Live Action/Animated 

I love both versions of this song! The animated one holds a special place in my heart. The live action did an amazing job staying true to the original. Both actors have beautiful voices and didn't take away what made this song so magical and romantic. 

3. "If I Never Knew You" Pocahontas & John Smith / Jon Secada & Shanice

Both versions of this song are pretty damn good. Unfortunately, the song was cut from the film and released later as a deleted scene. Even the scene itself is romantically dark. You can feel how special the love is between Pocahontas and John Smith in this song. Their love really is beautiful and it shows not just in this song, but throughout the movie. This song is just another gorgeous way of showing it. The end credits though do have Jon and Shanice singing the song which they did a great job on as well. 

4. "Evermore" Beast (Beauty and the Beast Live Action)

In the live action the Beast was given his own hauntingly romantic song. The Beast sings his heart out as Belle goes off to save her father. As he climbs the tower watching her go until he can no longer see her in the distance. He realizes that Belle has touched his life in a way no one has before. The Beast refuses to keep her locked up any longer and only hopes that she'll come back someday. Even if she doesn't break the curse it no longer matters. He truly found love and what it means. 

5. "You'll Be in My Heart" Phil Collins (Tarzan)

This song plays when the film wraps up and I think it's the perfect one. Phil Collins is a great singer for starters! The song starts as a slow ballad and as it goes on it turns into a powerful one. This song gives me shivers! I love how this song talks about no matter what someone may say, the person you truly love will still be in your heart. No words or actions can stop you if you really love someone. But it's also about bringing two worlds that seem so separate, together!

6. "How Does a Moment Last Forever" Celine Dion (Beauty and the Beast Live Action)

This song plays at the end of the film which I think is very fitting! This was actually my wedding song too. The song is about no matter how much time passes by, your love will still remain. Not only that, but your love is your own story, movie, fairytale, etc. It's yours and time will not take your love away. It's a very fitting song for this beloved film. 

7. "I'll Make a Man Out of You" Mulan 

This song in the film along with the scene itself is so powerful! Mulan struggles to be like one of the men at the start of their training. When she's told to go away she doesn't. She proves herself and works her way up so hard that she becomes the best warrior China has ever seen! During this whole scene you want Mulan to succeed and you root for her. 

8. "Colors of the Wind" Pocahontas / Vanessa Williams

This song is so deeply beautiful and the scene that goes with it equally so. Both versions of the song are done very well. Pocahontas feels connected to everything on Earth and takes us along on the journey showing us how deep it all is. She teaches us that everything on this planet has a meaning and spirit. We are all connected in some way that not everyone can see. 

9. "Beauty and the Beast" Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson

In my opinion this is the best version of Beauty and the Beast. I can feel the passion when Celine and Peabo sing this song at the end of the film. It's a very romantic song explaining how Belle and the Beast started off on a rocky note, but somehow were able to develop a sweet relationship. Belle truly helped Beast change into a better man and this song is a strong representation of that. 

10. "Lost in the Woods" Kristoff (Frozen 2)

I'm a sucker for this song because it sounds like an 80's love ballad and I love those kinds of songs. This was also really well done if that's what the creators were going for. We rarely get to see the men in these films sing a love ballad of their own. This song really told us just how much Kristoff loves Anna.

11. "You and Me (Good Company)" Oliver and Company
This song is so adorable! Most Disney songs are about romance, but this is just about Jenny and Oliver which is so sweet! It gives you all the feels. 

12. "Zero to Hero" Hercules
This song always makes me wanna get up and dance! It's very upbeat, fun, and catchy. It's my favorite song from the film.

13. "All is Found" Frozen 2
The sequel had better songs in my opinion. I was going between this one and "Lost in the Woods" as the final one. This one is a sweet lullaby that Elsa and Anna's mother sung to them when they were young. 

14. "Reflection" Mulan
I think we can all relate to this one on some level. Mulan longs to be who she really is instead of just what her reflection tells her. She wants to find herself. 

15. "Savages" Pocahontas
This is another one that gives me the chills. The scene itself is so powerful and heart racing. I especially love all the colors and backgrounds shown, it makes it that much more intense. 

From Blood and Ash by: Jennifer L. Armentrout Book Review! New favorite?

This book had me hooked from start to finish! If I didn't think I could like Armentrout's books anymore than I already do, she proved me so very wrong. In this book, Poppy is destined to be an Ascended which means she has to prove that she's worthy of the Gods. She is taught never to question her position just to fulfill it when that time arrives. Poppy had a lot of rules to follow with being the next Maiden who many people are relying on to ascend. Poppy literally can't do anything except her lessons, attend meetings, and eat. Poppy is frustrated with that life and secretly doesn't want it. But she knows she should want this life. It's her destiny. When Poppy meets Hawke she begins to question everything she thought she wanted and even starts to slowly rebel even more than she already has. With Hawke being assigned her royal guard after a heartbreaking death, it's even harder to fight what she truly knows she wants. But Poppy isn't just a Maiden awaiting the day she ascends. She's been learning to fight with Vikter (who is her other royal guard) so she can help keep out the Craven. Craven are like vampire zombies from what I gather. Whenever Poppy wants to do something she's not supposed to such as fighting, reading, etc she disguises herself with a cloak and mask. This doesn't fool Hawke and he finds Poppy intriguing. Poppy likes Hawke more than she should. Hawke let's Poppy handle herself and sees her as more than just the next Maiden. Hawke doesn't care if Poppy breaks the rules in fact, he kind of likes it. He even encourages it. Hawke sees Poppy for who she truly is and also starts to like her more than he should. He even tells her he doesn't care about the rules. Hawke believes Poppy should live a life she wants. But as her royal guard he still takes his role seriously in protecting Poppy. As Hawke and Poppy grow closer, Poppy becomes more frustrated about who she's supposed to be and what she actually wants. Poppy reminds me of princess Jasmine and Mulan wrapped all in one. Jasmine because she stays silent for awhile until another horrible death let's her unleash everything she's held in. Mulan because of course her fighting skills and disguising herself to go into battles. This book has a little bit of everything for everyone. There's action, friendships, steamy romance, sarcastic humor, etc. I read this book in two days! It's rare for me to like bigger books because sometimes they just tend to drag on and on. I didn't feel like that with this book. Poppy did have long thoughts, but they didn't bore me. In the beginning, it did drag on a bit, but it got very interesting rather quickly. I thought that Poppy was a strong character since the beginning. I didn't see someone who went from being weak to strong. I see someone who went from being strong, to even stronger. When we first meet Poppy she knows how to fight and if she's punished she deals with the punishments on her own. Even when Vikter asks her why she gets summoned (which is for the punishments) she doesn't tell the truth. Poppy is very wise, she knows nothing would be done even if she did say something. Not only that, but she picks up on some things pretty quickly. A lot of people think Poppy is this damsel maiden who can't do anything, but wait for her day to ascend. She really proves everyone wrong later in the book when her home becomes under attack. The attack and certain deaths lead the King, Queen, and Duchess to come to the decision to release Poppy to the King and Queen for protection. But the journey to the King and Queen takes a very unexpected turn. Poppy gets betrayed in a huge way that makes her question everything about her life all over. Poppy wants to believe in everything she was taught her entire life. She doesn't want to be believe everything she thought she knew was a lie. But a certain betrayal makes it harder for her to know what's true and what's a lie. I didn't think this book was hard to keep up with, I thought everything was explained quite well. Maybe not in great detail until near the end, but enough for me to understand what was going on. I do wish the Atlantians and Vampyrs were explained more towards the beginning instead of saving it for the end. But also, I know that Poppy was only told so much about them. So, I think Armentrout wanted us to find out when Poppy did purposely. Poppy thought she knew everything and the way she was taught was correct and that was that, no further questions or explanation. She was taught to just listen and follow the rules. But near the end Poppy was able to ask the one person she trusted more than anyone all the questions her heart desired. The last 100 pages or so was definitely shocking! I was not expecting all the twists and turns that took place. The other parts of the book had tiny twists here and there, but nothing compared to the final chapters where the story really starts to unfold. This book is definitely my favorite. I read this book in 2 days! I read 200 pages the first day and finished the last 400 the next day it was that great of a book! This book had everything I could ever want in a book (literally). I read a book last year where I thought it had everything I wanted in a book. But this book added an element I didn't know was missing which was Atlantians (vampires) which I love reading about! This book is New Adult Paranormal Fantasy and I love it! Armentrout took two of my favorite genres and created this magnificent beast of a book! I felt so many emotions while reading it, I feel like at times I could barely keeping up with them. I felt happy, angry, so sad I cried, etc. I don't think I ever laughed when a character died and I laughed like a maniac when a certain someone died because I hated them so fuckin' much! Armentrout did a a fantastic job of sweeping me up into this world and not letting me get out of it. Even when I wasn't reading because I had to eat or whatever else I still thought about it. Each chapter was something exciting! Even the little scenes with the meetings just held my attention when normally events like that bore someone. My grip on this book I swear grew tighter and tighter especially near the end as I read along. The book was literally in my face a few times this book was that amazing. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone! I soaked this story up like a sponge and I can not wait for book number two! Also, I included how I picture Poppy and Hawke at the bottom!

 

White Hot Kiss by: Jennifer L. Armentrout Book Review!

I have to start off by saying that I loved this book! It seems like it just might be a love triangle, but it's so much more than that! Layla is a half Warden and half Demon. Layla sides with the Wardens and tries to help them as much as possible. The Warden's try to take down demons and other nasty creatures. They are also gargoyles. Layla was practically taught to hate the Demon side of herself. She feels like she owes the Wardens since Abbot (who is one) took her in and cared for her. Layla has a complicated relationship with Abbot's son Zayne. Zayne is her bestest friend, but she clearly likes him as more than that. But she knows she can't be with Zayne because of who she is. And there's a possibility that Zayne likes her as well. Honestly, I didn't really like Zayne until near the end of this book. He didn't act like a friend to Layla to me at times. He treated her like a child when she actually proved many times that she can take care of herself. And when she trusted Zayne with a secret he went behind Layla's back and told his father Abbot. When Layla meets the confident and intriguing Demon Roth her world is thrown through a loop of what she thought she knew. Through Roth he teaches her that not everything is so black and white in their world. Although Roth irritates Layla with his flirting he was the most helpful and loyal person to her. He could've easily betrayed Layla, he could've been selfish and taken everything for himself. Roth was literally the Prince of Darkness next in line for the crown. He risked everything to save Layla constantly and he was always there for her. He even told her the truth about her mother that everyone else kept from her. Layla and Roth made a wonderful team. Roth loves everything about Layla and is very supportive of her. He even thinks Layla's fighting skills are hot! There's nothing about her that he doesn't like while Zayne bitches about her. I'm definitely Team Roth clearly. After learning some truths about the Warden/Demon worlds through Roth, Layla isn't certain if she can trust the people who've been taking care of her. Especially, when she finds out that they knew who her parents were the whole time! This leads Layla into trusting Roth and helping him to find a certain something that a lot of the Wardens and Demons have been looking for. Some trouble brews once Abbot, Zayne, and a few of the Wardens that like Layla find out what she's been up to. But Layla remains loyal to Roth. When Abbot demands the name of Roth in order to summon him, Layla refuses. These two are fiercely loyal to each other so I hope they do end up as a couple. They kind of were, but there wasn't any labels. They are pretty perfect for each other. The end of this book was heartbreaking for a certain character. But I really don't think that they're just gone. Layla knows this too and I know she's going to figure out a way to get this person back. Also, as weird as it was I liked Layla's relationship with her friends Stacy and Sam. Layla would have to ditch them to hunt down demons. Stacy and Sam don't know about this part of Layla's life. But regardless, they barely question her and just forgive her. They could've ditched her back and unfriended Layla, but they stuck with her. And Layla even pushes Stacy on the right tracks and gives her great advice! Sam is a weird one who just states random facts everyday, but Layla and Stacy accept that part of him. I love the weird trio friendship they have. It's a nice change to see in books. Honestly, I was putting this off because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. I love Armentrout's The Problem With Forever and of course this book is very different from that. But I loved this and can't wait to continue this series. This gets 5 stars from me! 

Aladdin Disney Novelization Book Review!

This book is a fantastic new way to tell the tale of Aladdin. Because this not just about Aladdin, it's also about my favorite Disney princess Jasmine! In the animated film Jasmine is not the main character, but in this story she truly shares it with Aladdin and it made my heart so happy. Jasmine and Aladdin are still the same people. Jasmine is judged for being a woman who shouldn't be Sultan because of her sex and of what happened to her mother. Aladdin is judged because he is poor and has to steal for food. He is known as a street rat to many. Aladdin and Jasmine feel trapped in different ways, but still understand each other. They are also both lonely with only an animal companion for their company for the most part. Jasmine in this story is smart and witty. She has read every book on Agrabah and other countries and studied the maps so she can one day be a great leader. But her dream is to become a Sultan without having to marry a prince. But after the death of Jasmine's mother, her father is overprotective and won't let her even go out to the market to meet the people she'll one day rule. Jasmine is frustrated because she doesn't just want to marry a prince, and if she had it her way she wouldn't marry at all. Jasmine is so much stronger in this story and has a bigger story to tell and it made me so happy. In the end something great does happen to Jasmine that made me cry tears of joy for my favorite princess. She doesn't just lay around and wait for things to happen. She works hard and tries to make them happen. Jasmine will not remain silent if she does not agree with something that is so important to her. She stands up and does something about it. She knows she would be an amazing ruler if her father gives her that chance. Onto Aladdin he really loves princess Jasmine and will do anything to be with her. He comes upon a lamp that releases the genie. Aladdin is able to wish for anything his heart desires, but he does get greedy like the genie had feared. Aladdin wants to free the genie and the genie hopes for that, but starts to believe it won't happen. Aladdin has to grow up and learn that everything that glitters is not gold. I actually like Aladdin and Jasmine more as a couple in this live action tale. Aladdin and Jasmine both lied to each other because they really wanted to be together. But they do realize that it was silly to do such a thing. They love each other and that's what matters. It doesn't matter how poor Aladdin is or how high on a pedestal Jasmine is. They want to be together and will do what it takes to keep that love alive. I love that these two don't let others push them around. They work for the things they want and push each other to be the best they can be. And together they defeat Jafar the person who has been in their way since the beginning. This book really pleased me with how they made Jasmine such a significant character to the story. She's more than just a princess waiting to find the prince that'll sweep her off her feet. She's still that girl, but more of a force to be reckoned with. Jasmine is very educated and also likes books! So she also reminds me of Belle, but Jasmine is more of a leader than Belle. This book has made me love princess Jasmine even more and I didn't think that was possible. Jasmine has turned into a strong and independent leader. I love that she's stepping up and doing everything she can to show everyone what she is capable of. She is so much more than just a princess and it really shines through in this story. She has been my favorite princess since I was little. I had always hoped that one day she would get the story that she truly deserves and she finally is! I have even more high hopes for this and can not wait to see this all play out on the big screen soon. Thank you, Disney for giving this amazing princess what she's always wanted and giving her a true voice.

This book is a fantastic new way to tell the tale of Aladdin. Because this not just about Aladdin, it's also about my favorite Disney princess Jasmine! In the animated film Jasmine is not the main character, but in this story she truly shares it with Aladdin and it made my heart so happy. Jasmine and Aladdin are still the same people. Jasmine is judged for being a woman who shouldn't be Sultan because of her sex and of what happened to her mother. Aladdin is judged because he is poor and has to steal for food. He is known as a street rat to many. Aladdin and Jasmine feel trapped in different ways, but still understand each other. They are also both lonely with only an animal companion for their company for the most part. Jasmine in this story is smart and witty. She has read every book on Agrabah and other countries and studied the maps so she can one day be a great leader. But her dream is to become a Sultan without having to marry a prince. But after the death of Jasmine's mother, her father is overprotective and won't let her even go out to the market to meet the people she'll one day rule. Jasmine is frustrated because she doesn't just want to marry a prince, and if she had it her way she wouldn't marry at all. Jasmine is so much stronger in this story and has a bigger story to tell and it made me so happy. In the end something great does happen to Jasmine that made me cry tears of joy for my favorite princess. She doesn't just lay around and wait for things to happen. She works hard and tries to make them happen. Jasmine will not remain silent if she does not agree with something that is so important to her. She stands up and does something about it. She knows she would be an amazing ruler if her father gives her that chance. Onto Aladdin he really loves princess Jasmine and will do anything to be with her. He comes upon a lamp that releases the genie. Aladdin is able to wish for anything his heart desires, but he does get greedy like the genie had feared.
