My Review of the Live Action Mulan
Wednesday, August 26, 2020
Are you going to pay $29.99 to watch Mulan on DisneyPlus?
As many of you know by now Mulan is fianlly coming to DisneyPlus! When we found out this news I'm sure many of us were thrilled and thinking, it's about time! The film was constantly pushed back since the expected March 27th release date due to theaters remaining closed. There were hopes for the film to be released in July, but Disney was yet again forced to push the film release back. They have finally decided to put the live action film on their platform! DisneyPlus has released movies such as Frozen 2 and Onward on their platform recruiting some new subscribers who were delighted to see these films in the comfort of their homes! The price was amazing too because it's only $6.99 for the DisneyPlus subscription and you were able to watch these films despite the whole Covid pandemic. This was an awesome idea and I feel this really brightened up the days during all this chaos. But then when Disney announced this exciting news about Mulan, it got less exciting when you discovered the price $29.99. Now some of you may argue and say the price is valid because it's what you would pay to go to a theater for a family of four. Well, some of us do not have a family of four. Also, ticket prices vary depending on where you live. I live in PA and for the theaters near me depending on when you go to a showing range from $8-$12. Let's not forget the kids prices where they can sometimes go for free or for less! There are also some terms with getting this film on DisneyPlus for that price. Do you get to keep the film? Yes. But it's not that simple! You must be an active DisneyPlus member in order to keep the film. That's ridiculous! We are still in a pandemic where people are losing their jobs, the last thing they're going to keep is a platform subscription! Not only that, but digital copies of movies are less depending on what features you want! I paid for an Aladdin DVD for $30, but it came with extras plus the digital copy! This Mulan film is not going to have any of that. Without special features it would be $19.99 normally. As much as I want to see Mulan all these ifs, ands, and buts are really swaying me away. If I have to wait another year for this film to release on DisneyPlus with a normal subscription I will most likely wait. Another part of me wants to cave and buy it because I'm lucky enough to have the means to do so. Disney, if this is your way to try and get more subscribers and get money for this film I think you are going to be disappointed. There is already talk of theaters opening that have a contract with Disney that will be showing the film. Fans are leaning towards just going to the theater because it will be less for the tickets and they are still getting that theater experience that they have been missing for the past five months. It's also a matter of will the film be worth it? Of course we've paid to see movies that we thought could've been better. But with Mulan being such a high price will it be worth it in the end? With the release date of September 4th being nine days away it's unlikely that Disney will listen to the fans and drop that price. So unfortunately, we must come to terms with that it will be $29.99 and you might be better off waiting until it releases on DVD and digital platforms. With that said, will you take the plunge and by the movie anyway, see it in theaters if they remain open, or just wait? For me personally, I'm leaning more towards waiting, but I may cave in if I hear enough good reviews about the film.

Books I've read this year!
From Blood and Ash by: Jennifer L. Armentrout is about a girl named Poppy who secretly goes out and helps defend her kingdom from invaders. She is expected to be the next ascended maiden, but she discovers more and more that she doesn't want this life. Especially, when she meets Hawke who sees Poppy through the person she tries to be and who she actually wants to be. But there's so much that Poppy doesn't know and that she might not be ready for!
A trilogy I read by this incredibly talented author was The Dark Elements series and oh my goodness I loved everything about it! Layla is a half Warden and half Demon, but she fights with the Wardens against the Demons because she wants to be thought of as a good being. Layla is pretty much taught to hate her Demon side by the Wardens even Abbot who is like a father to her and her best friend Zayne Abbot's son and her crush. When Layla meets the Demon Prince Roth he makes her question everything. Not only that, but he helps her to love and accept herself. Zayne even realizes he made a mistake and makes his true feelings known to Layla which sets up a love triangle. This trilogy was so good! The world building, the characters, the romance, etc. I highly recommend it if you're into paranormal romance and good love triangles!
Another trilogy by Jennifer L Armentrout that I really liked was the Wicked series. I didn't like it as much as Dark Elements, but it was still a great trilogy. You'll love it if you love kickass heroines like Merida from Brave! And of course if you're a fan of stories with fae like I am. As the series goes on it does get darker so fair warning.
I've also been reading JLA's romance standalone series. You can honestly read the books in any order and it won't be confusing. I have yet to read the last one, but I'm sure I'll do that in the near future! The books are basically New Adult romances where the couples have certain situations in their past that they need to face and overcome. Some topics may not be for you so another fair warning. My favorites from the series were Wait For You and Stay With Me! Fall With Me and Forever With You were also really good, but not my favorites. Be With Me was okay I really didn't care for it as much as the other books in the series, but regardless I feel that some people really will enjoy it as much as the others. But it does come after Wait For You which a lot of readers including myself said is very hard to top.
I also read Frigid and Scorched which are part of a romance standalone duology. The character's from these books are featured briefly in the series I just talked about. I didn't care for these books all that much though. I didn't like the love interests for Sydney and Andrea. I felt that these two could've done better in the romance department. But JLA's writing is really good so I did finish the first book, but I stopped reading Scorched after almost 100 pages. But if you are looking for dominant males and hot sex scenes pick these up!
I also tried JLA's Lux series which I've heard raving reviews about and saw the high ratings on Goodreads. I even tried to the spin off to the series. Unfortunately, I didn't care for either one. I read the first book in the Lux series and read over 100 pages into the second one and then just dropped it. I read 80 pages in the first spinoff book and then dropped that one. Both male leads Dameon and Luc were pretty much the same cocky, arrogant, and just down right rude. I couldn't stand them and even though Katy and Evie seemed like strong girls they still fell for these losers. I expected better for them really.
I also read a few crazy standalones! Dead List and If There's No Tomorrow! Dead List is a thriller mystery and you will not guess who the murderer is I swear it! If There's No Tomorrow deals with teens drinking and driving and paying for the consequences of their actions. It shows how they all deal with the incident in different ways and it was so emotional and heartbreaking. It really opens up your eyes. I also read Don't Look Back which is another YA thriller about the main character's (Sam) best friend being mysteriously murdered. Sam has a slight case of amnesia and it gives her a chance to kind of start over. I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two books because I didn't feel much of a character connection, but it was still good and the murderer will also surprise you!
Anyway, I think that's it for what I've read by JLA this year and I'm still not done! I'm going to leave my blog at this. I know it's just books by JLA, but once I got going I couldn't stop. I'll be back with another post most likey next week on more books that I've read this year and give you my honest thoughts and opinions on them!

Update on life and reading goals
So my reading goal this year was 80 books. I'm already at 65 and I told myself if I ended up with 20 books ahead of schedule then to raise the goal. I have done this and I raised my goal to 105 books! I am very confident that I'll achieve that goal seeing as I'm 10 books ahead of schedule right now. I've been reading a lot of Jennifer L. Armentrout who has become my favorite author this year. 12 of her books such as From Ash and Blood, Dead List, Wait For You, Dark Elements series, etc. have been put on my favorites shelf. So this author has helped immensely with keeping me engaged in reading books. They are just so amazing that I finish them within a day or two depending on how busy I am. A great thing is I still have a ton of her books on my shelves to read and I can't wait for more. I still don't have all of her books, but that will have to wait, kinda unfortunately which leads me to my next topic, my life!
I don't think I've talked about myself too much on here as far as my personal life goes. But I'm married to a wonderful man and have 4 cats. We've been living in an apartment because it fit our budget, but now I'm starting to save up for a house! Hence why I must wait to get the other books by my favorite author. I'm very excited about this because I could potentially be moving back to an area where my bestest friends are! So, I'll be busy in the meantime selling some items off that we won't need to take with us. It'll definitely help get extra money that we can save and of course don't need to worry about lugging so many things with us. So, if I don't blog for awhile I apologize, but between working, family time, getting ready to move, and of course reading and reviewing books I won't have as much time and will likely be pretty tired. Thank you ahead of time for understanding and I will continue to post content when I am able!

The 100 episode 5: Welcome to Bardo REVIEW!
This episode of the 100 more pieces of the puzzle are being brought together. We focus back on Hope, Gabriel, and Echo who have made it Bardo. Hope wants to find her mother and Echo is in search of Bellamy.
Octavia is held captive in Bardo. Anders wants her memories and she only cooperates when a memory of Hope is discovered. Levitt who is assigned to take Octavia's memories is in awe of her. This has made some of us believe that more may happen between Levitt and Octavia, but I remain doubtful. I still believe Octavia is set to die, but more on that in another post. Hope tries to rescue Octavia, but they agree on another plan where Octavia will have to go back through the anomaly. The plan is to hopefully also rescue Hope's mother Diyoza. We still have not seen Diyoza and it's unknown whether or not she's even alive. I think she is, but there has to be something planned for her since we haven't seen her yet. Octavia also sees Bellamy again and in Bardo. Bellamy wants to save her, but she refuses to let him, she fears he will die if he attempts to. The last we see of him Octavia tells him to go back through the anomaly. But it's too late, an explosion happens, but not before Octavia tells Bellamy to get down. We do not see what has become of Bellamy. This leads me to believe that he is ok and most likely got knocked back through the anomaly by the blast that had occurred. While rescuing Octavia, Echo sees this moment played in Octavia's memories and she reacts in a furious manner. Echo kills the person who could've helped Hope find her mother. Echo has been sensely killing people which was never part of the plans. Now that she believes that Bellamy is dead, Echo is just going to keep doing it and put this reason behind it. Echo is basically turning into Finn now. Echo used to be a killer and is going back down that path. But this time it seems like she's going to be heading down a dark path. Also, I don't believe that such an important character from The 100 would get killed off in such a dishonorable way. Could Echo face the same date as Finn and will she continue to kill the people in Bardo?
Back in Sanctum the people who follow Russell start to set themselves on fire for Russell to be freed. They even resort to using children until Murphy jumps in to save the day. When Murphy gets captured to be the next sacrifice "Russell" interferes along side Emori and Indra so Murphy is thankfully spared. Indra figures out that Russell is now actually Shaheida! We are left at a cliffhanger where Jackson cuts open Russell's neck to take out Shaheida, but I don't think it's going to be that easy. Shaheida is like a virus and I feel like he's going to be even harder to get rid of. Jackson was still digging in Russell's neck when we left off and that's a bit concerning! There's so much going on this season, lot's of questions answered, but also were being left with more questions as back stories continue to be revealed!

The 100n Episode 4: Hesperides Review!
Luckily, Hope does earn Orlando's trust and he agrees to help them train. Orlando also has a timer on his arm indicating when he'll be dead and when the anomaly will be back as well. Over the next five years they train and come up with a plan. Unfortunately, not everything goes according to plan due to Echo going off track and betraying Orlando. Echo convinces Hope and Gabriel to follow her lead and leave Orlando behind. They do so, but with regret shown clear on their faces. It seems like Echo has gone back to some of her old roots in this episode. She was all about helping her friends no matter what. She still is, but right now her heart is just set on getting Bellamy back. She admitted that she's not sure what she would do without him. It's possible that she may learn how to depending on his fate. If Bellamy knew that Echo did this, I feel like he may not want to be with Echo anymore. Bellamy changed Echo for the better which made their relationship work really well. She's taking some steps back which could push Bellamy away from her emotionally. I know she loves him and just really wants Bellamy back, but I don't think Bellamy would have wanted Echo to do it like this.
Back in Sanctum, Clarke and the crew discover the people in suits that came through the anomaly. Not only that, but their leader wants Clarke. She knows that Bellamy, Octavia, and Diyoza are being held hostage by these people so she agrees to go. Raven discovers that the leader has sinister intentions for Clarke. Raven and Jordan rescue her and the crew just in time! During this scene Clarke learns of what happened with Echo, Gabriel, and Orlando. We learn that after the trio left without Orlando, he committed suicide and even left a note to prove it. Not sure if it's actually true, but it's very possible. It took a lot for Orlando to trust Hope, Echo, and Gabriel. He finally did and became friends with them for a few years. But I feel like he probably committed the act due to the timer on his arm and not just because of the betrayal that took place. Clarke and the crew find the anomaly entrance and leave it to Raven to pick a destination (hopefully the right one) so they can save their people. Everyone, but Gaia agrees to accompany Clarke. Murphy and Emori didn't come with and are somewhere back in Sanctum for now. After Clarke and crew go through, Gaia is attacked and knocked unconscious. She tries to stop the mystery person from going through the anomaly, but they end up taking her along. Once through the anomaly, everyone discovers quickly that they chose the wrong place. They may be stuck for sometime as well because the only way back is with an anomaly stone. The gang ends up in an obviously cold place where there's nothing, but snow all around them. This reminds me of when Clarke was alone surrounded by nothing, but desert in season 5 where she nearly died. It'll be interesting to see how Clarke and crew fair in these conditions. I have a feeling someone or a few of them may die due to the harsh conditions. I don't think any of them thought to bring any kind of supplies before going through which is a rookie mistake by now if that's the case. I know they have weapons, but they really should have prepared more. I really did enjoy this episode and I'm glad we finally have all the information from Hope's past. I did enjoy seeing what happened before, but it took sometime to get all the puzzle pieces collected. Now we'll be able to focus more on the anomaly action. I also wonder what will happen in Sanctum now that only Madi, Murphy, Emori, Indra, and Jackson from the crew are there. Everyone else is stuck somewhere in the anomaly. Hopefully, they can all be together soon. I'm really excited to learn what everyone's fate will be that is in the anomaly. Majority of our characters are in trouble and not everyone may make it out alive.

The 100 Episode 3: False God's Review
Clarke, Gaia, and Indra seek out volunteers to help stop the radiation. Their people won't do it unless ordered by the commander. Clarke and Gaia think it's best to tell everyone the truth while Indra pleas for them not to. Gaia doesn't listen and tells Wonkru that the commander is no more. Wonkru refuses to help which leaves Raven to seek out help from the prisoners. Luckily, they agree to help her with this task, but Raven doesn't tell the truth about how dangerous it could get. She also gets help from John and Emori.
Raven is put into Clarke's shoes this season when she has to decide to either let the radiation go or force other's to help by any means necessary. She locks John and the other prisoners who volunteered to help inside the room where the pipes are leaking radiation. This can cause violent illness or even death. Raven knows that John will do anything to save his own skin which leads her to this choice. The job gets done successfully, but not without regret on Raven's part. John lives while the other volunteers died in the process. I'm sure we're going to see how much doing something like this will mess with her head. I feel like it may put her and Clarke at odds for a bit. Clarke has always carried on somehow despite who all she killed. Raven ended the lives of four people which of course is very low compared to what Clarke has done. But this is already having a hard effect on Raven. It will be interesting to see how she deals with this now that the tables have turned. I did enjoy this episode, but the most interesting part was the radiation and Raven making a hard choice. I also liked the little bonding moment between Gaia and Clarke. You can feel the tension building in this episode. But it seems like Clarke still hasn't figured out how to keep the peace like she has been aiming to do. But neither has anyone else so it's a difficult time in Sanctum right now. I give this episode an 8/10!

The 100 season 7 episode 2: The Garden REVIEW!
In present time, Echo, Hope, and Gabriel all got through the anomaly together successfully. Echo wants to rescue Bellamy. Hope wants to find her mother Diyoza. Gabriel is still learning about the anomaly along the way which thrills him. We even see Becca in a mind drive that Gabriel kept! That was a big surprise to me! I know we saw Roan make an appearance in the last episode, but only as a hallucination in Echo's mind. So, it leaves me wondering if we'll be seeing other character's make some type of comeback this season. Even though Hope and Echo have differences that are obvious they do have one thing in common. They want to save the person they love the most. Through this common ground they have a bonding moment. Honestly, I thought it was a little awkward because Echo isn't a very emotional character. But I could see that she was in her own way trying to be comforting at least. It's obvious that Hope had to grow up fast with all the events that took place in this episode. But she needed a moment to let out all the emotions that she has been bottling up. I'm excited to learn more about her and what has happened to Bellamy, Octavia, and Diyoza. Through Gabriel we are learning more about the anomaly. It is kind of tricky so you really have to listen to keep up. But I am still interested in what else the anomaly withholds.
We did not see anything about Sanctum in this one. It solely focused on the events of the anomaly. But I am fine with that because this episode gave us a lot of what we were seeking. I'm sure we'll have to wait another episode or two though to get more answers. Next episode will probably focus back on Sanctum, but I hope they make room for more of the anomaly too!

The 100: Episode 1 Review!
Echo and Gabriel try their best to rescue Bellamy, but they just keep getting knocked back by whatever this invisible force is. Hope who is Diyoza's daughter came through the anomaly and is now running away. That just looks bad so of course Echo and Gabriel are going to chase her down for answers.
Back in the other part of Sanctum the rest of the crew is relaxing in a farm house after a restless battle with the Primes. Clarke is hoping Madi can finally be a kid and perhaps they can all live peacefully together. This scene is actually unsettling to me because the house looks very out of place. But I feel like that's what the director wanted us to feel perhaps. The peace doesn't last long of course, Clarke and some of the crew head back to the castle of Sanctum where chaos is taking place. Clarke is making it clear to everyone that she has no intention of killing Russell even though he killed her mother. Instead, Clarke has decided to keep Russell a prisoner until she figures out what she really wants to do. Many people want Russell dead and the people who follow him want him released.
Clarke has been holding back a lot of her emotions during this episode. She is trying to carry on and be the leader as she always has been. But Clarke and Russell are both two leaders that are broken and on the verge of a breakdown. Russell has lost his wife and daughter and Clarke has lost her mother. They both have no one and they can only blame each other for the cause. In Clarke's defense, Russell tried to kill Clarke and her mother first. He succeeded in taking away Clarke's mother to only lose his wife in the process. After Russell taunts Clarke she finally decides what to do with Russell. But there's something dark lurking in Russell so right now I hope she carries out what she sets to do. If not, there's going to be even bigger trouble for Sanctum.
Echo and Gabriel catch up to Hope only to discover that Hope doesn't remember anything. Octavia didn't remember what happened either when she came back through the anomaly. You can only remember when you're in or when the anomaly is on top of you. Hope shows them a note that says Trust Bellamy. The trio go off to do just that. In order to do this though they know they have to enter the anomaly where Bellamy had been taken. There is a high chance that once you go in, you will not come back out.
This first episode really kicked the events into high gear and even though we got some answers, we're left with new questions and of course some still unanswered. I have a feeling this season is going to be one of those go big or go home moments and this one is going big! The viewers are going to be craving for the new episodes like never before. It's going to leave us on the edge of our seats. There's going to be more WTF moments and I'm ready for it.
I give this episode a 9/10. One point docked because of the weird house. It may have been meant to feel out of place, but it just wasn't a good fit. Plus, it's the only one we've seen like it in Sanctum so it's really out of place. Other than that, I loved this episode and I want more right now!

Should The Ship Bellarke FINALLY happen?
Hey everyone, I know I've been gone awhile, but hopefully I'm back and going to be running this blog regularly. I think I felt a bit stuck, but I found some topics I'd like to discuss! Now, this one is a TV show, but it is loosely based off the series The 100 by Kass Morgan. So, it still sticks with my main theme and I'd like to talk about this particular topic on a lot of our minds.
The seventh and final season of The 100 is airing Weds. May 20th! The show is finally coming to a close and we all know that means anything can happen. I'm expecting a lot of surprises, a few new characters, and heartbreaking deaths. But one thing I'm hoping for that many of us fans have our hearts set on is that Clarke and Bellamy will finally get together and have their happy ending! Yes, that probably sucks for Echo. But just from watching the trailer I feel like there will be some type of conflict between her and Bellamy where their romance will end. Nothing has happened between them in the trailer, but just some of her words and actions have made me feel like this.
This would give Clarke and Bellamy of course an open opportunity to start an actual romantic relationship. I know the Clexa fans are hoping it does not happen because this pairing would definitely override the Clarke and Lexa relationship. But Lexa is dead and has been for awhile. In this show, no one comes back to life! So we need to let that ship finally sink and let Clarke be happy. It doesn't mean Clarke doesn't love Lexa. Plus, I don't think their relationship was a good one. Not at all! This is coming from someone who is a supporter of the LGBT community. Honestly, think about it. Lexa betrayed Clarke at Mt. Weather and had her exboyfriend (that Clarke still loved) killed. Of course Lexa had good reason since Finn killed many of Lexa's people. I don't care that she killed Finn. But she broke Clarke's heart twice. Then when she needed Clarke the most, she had her kidnapped just so she could talk to her about joining forces again. Also, their romance lasted one night and then Lexa got shot. It wasn't long, it wasn't healthy, and it's over.
Clarke and Bellamy went from practically hating each other to being best friends! These two have such a strong relationship that has been continuously building in the show. Clarke and Bellamy have taken it upon themselves to be the leaders for their people. In doing this, it makes them look like the mother and father of the group. These two have done questionable things separate and together. They know each other's worst and best parts. They constantly give each other forgiveness when they feel like no one will. Clarke had taken the killing in Mt. Weather on her shoulders even though Bellamy had pulled the lever with her. She did this so Bellamy wouldn't have to shoulder the burden after everything he had already been through. Bellamy refused to be on the list on the bunker members unless Clarke was on it. He even wrote Clarke's name for her. They did not want to lose each other. Even though they still have disagreements, they manage to work it out and compromise together. Clarke and Bellamy are the head and the heart to each other and that's how they work out problems together. Whenever they see each other they hug and it's not one armed or quick. These hugs are long, emotional, tight, fierce, and comforting. They have expressed multiple times that they don't want to and can not lose one another. They also have proven this. Especially, in the last season when Clarke's heart had stopped beating, Bellamy made her heart beat again and brought Clarke back to life. They have the strongest relationship out of everyone on the show. Octavia and Bellamy aren't even as strong, Octavia hated Bellamy and Bellamy hated Octavia at different times during the show. Yes, they forgave each other after a long time of waiting. But Bellamy and Clarke never hated each other after the first season. Their relationship just continued to grow. Even when Clarke nearly got Octavia killed twice, Bellamy found it in his heart to forgive her. I think that's because he believed Clarke had good intentions and she did realize her mistakes and owned up to them. I feel like these two would choose each other over almost anyone else. There was a time I felt like Bellamy would choose Octavia over Clarke, but not anymore. Clarke would only choose Maddie over Bellamy which is understandable because that's basically her child. Other than that, these two have each other's backs. They fiercely defend and protect one another no matter what it takes. When Bellamy found out Clarke was alive after thinking she was dead for six years I thought he was going to burst into tears of joy. Of course he was shocked and didn't have time to really process the fact that Clarke was still around. Bellamy went to go rescue her and was willing to risk hundreds of lives just to save hers. Clarke did the same thing for Bellamy when she had him brought to the bunker. These two are obviously in love and they need to have their epic conclusion of a romance. Even if it's one of them just finally confessing their love before the other one dies. Let it happen!

My Top 10 Favorite Disney Songs
1. "Speechless" Princess Jasmine (Aladdin Live Action)
This is my favorite song ever! Jasmine is my favorite princess and when I heard that she would be having her own song I was very excited. Also, I was nervous because it could've been a flop. The song was very empowering and gave this princess a whole new voice. In the animated Aladdin, she's not the main character. In this live action she shared screen time with our hero. And of course she got her very own song that was very fitting for this fiercely independent princess.
2. "A Whole New World" Aladdin and Jasmine Live Action/Animated
I love both versions of this song! The animated one holds a special place in my heart. The live action did an amazing job staying true to the original. Both actors have beautiful voices and didn't take away what made this song so magical and romantic.
3. "If I Never Knew You" Pocahontas & John Smith / Jon Secada & Shanice
Both versions of this song are pretty damn good. Unfortunately, the song was cut from the film and released later as a deleted scene. Even the scene itself is romantically dark. You can feel how special the love is between Pocahontas and John Smith in this song. Their love really is beautiful and it shows not just in this song, but throughout the movie. This song is just another gorgeous way of showing it. The end credits though do have Jon and Shanice singing the song which they did a great job on as well.
4. "Evermore" Beast (Beauty and the Beast Live Action)
In the live action the Beast was given his own hauntingly romantic song. The Beast sings his heart out as Belle goes off to save her father. As he climbs the tower watching her go until he can no longer see her in the distance. He realizes that Belle has touched his life in a way no one has before. The Beast refuses to keep her locked up any longer and only hopes that she'll come back someday. Even if she doesn't break the curse it no longer matters. He truly found love and what it means.
5. "You'll Be in My Heart" Phil Collins (Tarzan)
This song plays when the film wraps up and I think it's the perfect one. Phil Collins is a great singer for starters! The song starts as a slow ballad and as it goes on it turns into a powerful one. This song gives me shivers! I love how this song talks about no matter what someone may say, the person you truly love will still be in your heart. No words or actions can stop you if you really love someone. But it's also about bringing two worlds that seem so separate, together!
6. "How Does a Moment Last Forever" Celine Dion (Beauty and the Beast Live Action)
This song plays at the end of the film which I think is very fitting! This was actually my wedding song too. The song is about no matter how much time passes by, your love will still remain. Not only that, but your love is your own story, movie, fairytale, etc. It's yours and time will not take your love away. It's a very fitting song for this beloved film.
7. "I'll Make a Man Out of You" Mulan
This song in the film along with the scene itself is so powerful! Mulan struggles to be like one of the men at the start of their training. When she's told to go away she doesn't. She proves herself and works her way up so hard that she becomes the best warrior China has ever seen! During this whole scene you want Mulan to succeed and you root for her.
8. "Colors of the Wind" Pocahontas / Vanessa Williams
This song is so deeply beautiful and the scene that goes with it equally so. Both versions of the song are done very well. Pocahontas feels connected to everything on Earth and takes us along on the journey showing us how deep it all is. She teaches us that everything on this planet has a meaning and spirit. We are all connected in some way that not everyone can see.
9. "Beauty and the Beast" Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson
In my opinion this is the best version of Beauty and the Beast. I can feel the passion when Celine and Peabo sing this song at the end of the film. It's a very romantic song explaining how Belle and the Beast started off on a rocky note, but somehow were able to develop a sweet relationship. Belle truly helped Beast change into a better man and this song is a strong representation of that.
10. "Lost in the Woods" Kristoff (Frozen 2)
I'm a sucker for this song because it sounds like an 80's love ballad and I love those kinds of songs. This was also really well done if that's what the creators were going for. We rarely get to see the men in these films sing a love ballad of their own. This song really told us just how much Kristoff loves Anna.
HONORABLE MENTIONS!
11. "You and Me (Good Company)" Oliver and Company
This song is so adorable! Most Disney songs are about romance, but this is just about Jenny and Oliver which is so sweet! It gives you all the feels.
12. "Zero to Hero" Hercules
This song always makes me wanna get up and dance! It's very upbeat, fun, and catchy. It's my favorite song from the film.
13. "All is Found" Frozen 2
The sequel had better songs in my opinion. I was going between this one and "Lost in the Woods" as the final one. This one is a sweet lullaby that Elsa and Anna's mother sung to them when they were young.
14. "Reflection" Mulan
I think we can all relate to this one on some level. Mulan longs to be who she really is instead of just what her reflection tells her. She wants to find herself.
15. "Savages" Pocahontas
This is another one that gives me the chills. The scene itself is so powerful and heart racing. I especially love all the colors and backgrounds shown, it makes it that much more intense.
